Still Waters Country
“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul” Psalm 23:1-3
I crave the still waters promised in this verse. The chaotic pace of the world, the demanding task list that is always growing and the incessant stream of information seems to drive and push. And none of that compares to the internal noise that our mind and heart carry.
So I set out to cultivate a corner of the internet that shares the rhythms, pace and beautiful moments that I experience in my corner of the world. Backyard horses, hunting, gravel roads, books and hot coffee.
While I do my best to create peace in my environment, true peace comes only from being in a right relationship with a Good God who knows us fully and loves us completely. So many books have led me to a deeper understanding of God and who He is, so I hope to share my journey in what I am learning and share some of my favorite resources.
In addition to these resources, I hope to share the items I use, the gear and equipment that we have, the things that make caring for our animals easier and anything else we love as we rest in the provision of God’s presence and blessings.
